The location of Star in Hikkaduwa was perfect, just a five-minute walk to the beach. I loved the garden area, which provided a peaceful space to relax. The pool was sparkling clean, ideal for cooling off after sunbathing. My room was cozy, offering a comfortable bed and air conditioning. I appreciated the daily room service that kept everything tidy. the breakfast selection was repetitive and lacked local dishes. I also noticed the bathroom had a strong musty smell. Wi-Fi performance was inconsistent, mainly working only in the common areas, which was a bit frustrating.

A Memorable Stay with Amazing Views

Spent three nights as a solo traveler and enjoyed my cozy standard double room. Highlights included clean facilities and a breathtaking sunset view from the second floor. Only a few minutes walk to lovely beachside fish restaurants. Perfect for relaxing days by the pool!

The air conditioning worked great, though at times it had a bit of a musty odor. The location offers easy access to the beach, making lazy days in the sun quite enjoyable.

The bathroom drains had a strong odor, and there were cleanliness issues in the rooms. I had rock-hard pillows that made for uncomfortable nights, and one bathroom had no window and a door that wouldn't close, letting in mosquitoes. Breakfast was a mystery, as it looked set up but no one was around to guide us. We had problems with the Wi-Fi, which only worked well in the common areas, leaving my room disconnected. I was disappointed and felt that the value for what was paid didn't meet the expectations.
